what are the origins of the rockabilly punk sparrow ?

Hi,
i think its a cool symbol and one that is def tied to the whole
rockabilly style and scene. i am curious to learn more about ti - but
cant find anything online. Anyone have any idea what the heck sparrows
have to do with rockabilly? thanks!
